Had the second ultrasound with Dr. Harper.  I was nine weeks pregnant.  Dr. Harper said if I made it to 9 weeks, we had a great chance of having this baby. He released us to Dr. Cimino.  Yippee!

Had another ultrasound...this time with Dr. Cimino.
Heart rate was 164.
July 25, 2005
Had the triple screen test, which tests for birth defects.  The results came back normal.  Unfortunatley, the test only looks for common illnesses and didn't catch Laney's illness.

Unexpected trip to doctor.  Was having contractions and dilated to 2.  Dr. Cimino said he would prefer that I make it 2 more weeks, but she should be fine if she were born now.  Of course at this point, we were worried about her lungs, as we had no idea of what was to come.  Her heart rate was in the 150s.

Laney's due date.  This day was extremely hard for me.  Laney should have been getting life today.  Instead, we had been without her for exactly one month.
